The great defender of biblical inerrancy
Biography
Professor of theology at Princeton Seminary for over 30 years. The last great Princeton theologian before the liberal reorganization, he was the foremost defender of biblical inerrancy in his era.
Faith & Testimony
Warfield's defense of the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture laid the theological foundation that continues to undergird evangelical and Reformed churches. He argued that Christianity is not merely a feeling but is grounded in historical facts and propositional truth. He also tenderly cared for his invalid wife for decades.
