Biography
German Lutheran pastor, theologian, and anti-Nazi dissident. Author of 'The Cost of Discipleship' and 'Life Together.' Executed by the Nazis at Flossenbürg concentration camp.
Faith & Testimony
Bonhoeffer's theology of 'costly grace' challenged cheap Christianity. He helped found the Confessing Church in opposition to Nazi influence and participated in a plot to assassinate Hitler. His final words were, 'This is the end — for me, the beginning of life.'
