Biography
Horatius Bonar was a Scottish minister, preacher, and hymn writer associated with the Free Church of Scotland. Remembered as a prolific hymnodist, he combined pastoral ministry with devotional poetry and hymn writing that served the church in the nineteenth century. His hymns and writings reflect evangelical seriousness, doctrinal concern, and pastoral warmth.
