Biography
American Christian missionary who was killed along with four companions during Operation Auca, an attempt to evangelize the Huaorani people of Ecuador. He was 28 years old. His death galvanized a generation of missionaries.
Faith & Testimony
Elliot famously wrote in his journal, 'He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.' His wife Elisabeth Elliot later returned to minister to the very tribe that killed him, and many Huaorani eventually became Christians.
