Biography
French theologian, pastor, and reformer who was a principal figure in the development of the system of Christian theology later called Calvinism. His 'Institutes of the Christian Religion' is a foundational work of Protestant theology.
Faith & Testimony
Calvin's theology emphasized the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, and salvation by grace alone through faith alone. His work in Geneva established a model for Reformed churches worldwide.
