Quadriplegic since 17, a towering voice on suffering and God's sovereignty
Biography
American author, speaker, and disability rights advocate. A diving accident at age 17 left her a quadriplegic. Rather than succumbing to despair, she founded Joni and Friends International Disability Center and became one of the most recognized Christian voices on suffering and God's sovereignty.
Faith & Testimony
Joni is solidly Reformed in her theology, a close friend of John MacArthur and R.C. Sproul. She has spoken and written extensively about how God uses suffering for His glory. Her life is a living testimony to the sufficiency of Christ in the midst of profound physical limitation. She has also battled cancer multiple times with public, unwavering faith.
